Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Kumiho (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Kumiho is a software platform that helps users track revisions, metadata, and relationships between creative assets (e.g., images, video, workflows, datasets). Kumiho is designed to work with storage you already control (local disks, NAS, or cloud object storage). Unless a user chooses to publish or share an asset through Kumiho, Kumiho does not host or replace the user's primary storage.
The Service includes:
- Revision tracking and version history
- Lineage and dependency graph visualization
- Event streaming for automation workflows
- SDKs and APIs for integration
- Optional public publishing of assets
3. User Accounts
You may need to create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Your Content and Files
You retain ownership of your files and creative content. Kumiho does not claim ownership of any content you create or track using the Service. By using the Service, you grant Kumiho a limited license to:
- Store and process metadata necessary to provide the Service
- Display published content to authorized viewers (when you choose to publish)
- Generate thumbnails or previews for display within the Service
5. Publishing & Public Access
When you choose to publish an asset:
- The published version becomes an immutable snapshot accessible via a public URL
- Anyone with the link can view the published content (unless you set additional restrictions)
- You can unpublish or revoke access at any time through your account settings
- Private assets remain private and are never exposed publicly without your explicit action
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious code or content
- Publish content that infringes others' rights
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its underlying software are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our express permission. This does not affect your ownership of your own content.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Kumiho be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances: compliance with law, protection of rights, with service providers who assist in operating the Service (under confidentiality agreements), or in connection with a business transfer.
4. Security & Access Control
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Tenant isolation — your data is logically separated from other customers
- Role-based access control within teams
- Audit logging for compliance-sensitive operations
For security concerns, contact security@kumiho.io.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Event stream data is retained according to your plan's replay window (from live-only to 90+ days for Enterprise). After account deletion, we may retain some data for legal compliance purposes.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate data

- Your account and profile information will be permanently removed
- Project metadata and graph data will be deleted within 30 days
- Your files on your own storage are not affected
- Some data may be retained for legal/compliance purposes
