The Service includes:

  • Revision tracking and version history
  • Lineage and dependency graph visualization
  • Event streaming for automation workflows
  • SDKs and APIs for integration
  • Optional public publishing of assets
  • AI Cognitive Memory storage, recall, and consolidation
  • MCP tools for AI agent integration

Revision metadata (timestamps, tags, hashes)Your NAS file shares
Relationships (dependency graph, lineage)Your raw footage library
Event stream data (for automation replay)Your cloud storage credentials
Memory summaries and facts (AI Cognitive Memory)Raw conversation transcripts

Note: If you choose to publish assets publicly, Kumiho may store snapshots or thumbnails for display purposes. See “Publishing & Public Access” below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve the Service. We process data to operate the service; you control your storage — we store metadata needed for tracking and automation.

Information you provide:

  • Account information (email, name, authentication credentials)
  • Project and workspace configurations
  • Asset metadata (names, tags, timestamps, file hashes)
  • Relationship data (lineage, dependencies, graph connections)

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage analytics (features used, performance metrics)
  • Device and browser information
  • Event stream data for replay functionality

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Enable revision tracking and lineage visualization
  • Power event replay and automation features
  • Communicate with you about the Service
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud

AI Cognitive Memory Data

When you use AI Cognitive Memory, Kumiho stores:

  • Conversation summaries and extracted facts (as memory revisions)
  • Memory metadata (timestamps, tags, source session, memory type)
  • Reasoning edges between memories (DERIVED_FROM, DEPENDS_ON, REFERENCED)
  • Working memory session buffers (Redis, auto-expired)
  • Dream State consolidation outputs (enrichment, linking, pruning decisions)

Kumiho does not store:

  • Raw conversation transcripts (unless you explicitly include them as artifacts)
  • LLM API keys or provider credentials
  • The content of your AI model's context window

PII Handling: Dream State includes configurable PII redaction. Sensitive information can be automatically stripped from memory summaries before long-term storage. You control the redaction policy.

Data residency: AI Cognitive Memory data follows the same regional data plane rules as creative asset metadata. Your memory graph lives in the region you selected during onboarding.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances: compliance with law, protection of rights, with service providers who assist in operating the Service (under confidentiality agreements), or in connection with a business transfer.

4. Security & Access Control

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
  • Tenant isolation — your data is logically separated from other customers
  • Role-based access control within teams
  • Audit logging for compliance-sensitive operations

For security concerns, contact security@kumiho.io.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Event stream data is retained according to your plan's replay window (from live-only to 90+ days for Enterprise). After account deletion, we may retain some data for legal compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights & Data Export

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Export your metadata, graph, and relationships (JSON format)
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

We're built for portability — you can export your data at any time through the API or dashboard.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your account and profile information will be permanently removed
  • Project metadata and graph data will be deleted within 30 days
  • Your files on your own storage are not affected
  • Some data may be retained for legal/compliance purposes

8. Contact

For privacy questions, contact us at kumiho.io/contact or privacy@kumiho.io.

Patent-Pending Technology

Kumiho's AI Cognitive Memory system is protected by a provisional patent application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on February 12, 2026.

The provisional patent covers the graph-native architecture for persistent AI agent memory, including:

  • Immutable revision-based memory storage with typed dependency edges
  • LLM-decoupled memory architecture (memory persists independently of any language model)
  • Dream State asynchronous consolidation process for memory enrichment, deduplication, and lifecycle management
  • Hybrid retrieval combining full-text search, graph traversal, and vector similarity
  • Working memory to long-term memory transition architecture using Redis and Neo4j

Patent Notice

Kumiho AI Cognitive Memory — Patent Pending

Application filed: February 12, 2026
Jurisdiction: United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

What this means for users

This patent protects the underlying architecture of the AI Cognitive Memory system. It does not restrict your use of Kumiho or your ownership of your data. You retain full ownership of all memories, metadata, and content stored through the service.

What this means for developers

You may build integrations, plugins, and applications on top of Kumiho's APIs and SDKs. The patent covers the internal system architecture, not the use of the APIs.

Open-Source Components

Kumiho's SDKs (Python, C++, Dart), ComfyUI nodes, n8n nodes, and MCP plugins are open-source. The patent applies to the proprietary server-side architecture, not the client libraries.

  • SDKs — open-source, free to use and extend
  • MCP plugins — open-source, build your own agent integrations
  • ComfyUI & n8n nodes — open-source, extend as needed
  • Server-side architecture — proprietary, patent pending
